- Main article: Nasty Garlic
Nasty Garlic is the Garlic that Wario used to turn into Wario-Man in WarioWare: Touched! It was also one of the ingredients to Ashley's potion that she was making in her Microgame Mix. Other than those two appearances Nasty Garlic never appeared again since in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Wario ate normal Garlic to transform.
Garlic reappeared in the GameCube game, Wario World. Throughout Wario's journey to receive all of his treasures stolen by the Black Jewel, he will face many enemies, mini-bosses and regular bosses. If Wario happens to be attacked by any of the three types of antagonists in the group, he will lose a heart. However, in every level in the game, there are living red vending machines which offer Wario some Garlic to replenish a bit of his health for a price. It is to note that automatically punching these vending machines takes away some of Wario's collected coins and spits out a Garlic for him to eat.
In “WarioWare Gold”, garlic is used as a form to fight opponents in Wario Kard. You can hold a maximum of three and one regenerates every five minutes, but you can use 500 Gold to replenish all three.
