The original Hellsing manga by Kouta Hirano ran 10 volumes, finishing in 2008. The Hellsing anime followed a different storyline, but with the same main characters. The dub ran in the United States from October 4, 2003 to December 27, 2003 on Starz!'s Encore Action cable channel. The Hellsing OVA started at 2006, once completed will features 10 Episodes and, unlike the anime, it follows the manga more closely.

Infinite Stratos began as a light novel series written by Izuru Yumizuru, with illustrations provided by Okiura. The first volume was published by Media Factory under their MF Bunko J label on May 31, 2009. As of December 25, 2010, six volumes have been released. The sixth volume was released on December 24, 2010. The first three volumes have been covered by the anime. The light novels are being translated into traditional Chinese and the first volume was published and released by Sharp Point Press on November 9, 2010. The Chinese translations of the light novels were originally under an indefinite suspension. Yumizuru cited that Media Factory's overseas representatives were engaging in contracts with foreign publishers without the author's permission as the reason for the suspension. Yumizuru had also stated that he was willing to fight over this matter in court if necessary.

Satan and his Demon general Alciel are forced to flee through a portal which drops them off in modern day Japan. With their magic slowly depleting in an unfamiliar world, they are forced to act as normal human beings in order to survive. As the Hero Emilia Justina follows them through the portal, she too is met with the same circumstances, and although she still harbors negative feelings towards Satan for his past acts of evil, they become unlikely allies in order to survive.

The twenty five volumes have collectively sold over 16 million copies in Japan, and the number of children playing American football has almost quadropled and still grows after it was over. The manga is published in English by VIZ Media. The anime version, produced by Nihon Ad Systems, or NAS, and animated by Artland, premiered across Japan on TV Tokyo from April 6 2005, and ended March 19 2008, with episode 145. The anime is sponsored by NFL Japan. The English dub "aired" on the free on-demand Toonami Jetstream as a joint effort with NFL Rush December 17, 2007.
