WarioWare is one of two main compartments series of the Wario franchise, along with Wario Land. Unlike the latter's platforming gameplay, the WarioWare series instead bases itself off the minigame compilation and party formulas, and is set in a distinctively different setting from both the Wario Land games and the Mario franchise as a whole; it takes place in Diamond City and stars many characters largely unique to the series.
