WarioWare: Touched! is the fourth game in the WarioWare series. It was released for the Nintendo DS in Japan on December 2, 2004, Febuary 24, 2005 in North America and March 11, 2005 in Europe. It is known in Japan as Sawaru Meido in Wario meaning Touching Made in Wario. WarioWare: Touched! is the precursor of the other known Wario game WarioWare: Twisted!
Story[edit | edit source]
Wario manages to steal a Game Boy Advance and a GBA SP, but trips and drops them both in a sewer. An entity known as the Sewer Guru flies out with both devices and a Nintendo DS, then asks Wario which ones he dropped. Wario simply attacks the Guru and tries to steal all three, but ends up with only the DS. Not knowing how to operate it due to a lack of buttons, Wario loses a Whack-a-Mole game. After shaking the device angrily, the stylus slips out. Wario uses it to beat the minigame and figures he can use this formula to develop more microgames and earn more money, so he sets out to produce the games in the masses.
Gameplay[edit | edit source]
WarioWare: Touched! is one of the original DS games. So it is almost completely played by using either the stylus or microphone. The game is like WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$!. For example, there is a microgame where you use your stylus to cut a wire of a bomb that is about to explode and there is a microgame where you have to blow into the microphone to put air into a balloon and make the balloon float.
Sales and Reception[edit | edit source]
WarioWare: Touched! has sold 2.15 million copies worldwide. IGN gave it the Editor's Choice Award.
