Wario Land: Shake It! is a game for the Wii. The game is known as Wario Land: The Shake Dimension in PAL regions, Wario Land Shake in Japan, and Wario Land Shaking in South Korea).

Plot[]

The game beings with Captain Syrup breaking into a museum. She was looking into the globe. In it, she sees the shake dimension which has a bottomless coin sack. She sends the globe to Wario. Soon Wario enters the shake dimension in which he beats the shake king. The people in the shake dimension said that Wario was a hero. So they gave the bottomless coin sack to Wario. In the end, Captain Syrup gets the bottomless coin sack. Wario then gets the globe.

Gameplay[]

Wario Land: Shake It! is a 2D platformer. There are five continents and six levels on each continent. In the game, you have to rescue a person named Merfle. You use the Wii Remote to shake the coin bags to get more coins. Shaking also has Wario Punch the ground or shake enemies to have them drop items. There are three different items in the game. Each level has three unique treasures.

The game was met with generally positive reviews, despite being criticized for repetitious shaking of the Wii remote. The game received many awards and high review scores from many notable reviewers, as well as being one of the best selling games on the Wii.

  • At the time of Super Smash Bros. Brawl's release, Wario's victory theme was an original composition. However, the theme was re-used in this game, meaning it is no longer exclusive to the Super Smash Bros. series.
  • This is the first and currently, the only Wario Land game to be released on a home console instead of a handheld system.
